Moray is one of the most unique Inca sites in the Sacred Valley. Its impressive circular terraces, built in concentric rings, are believed to have been an agricultural laboratory where the Incas experimented with different crops and microclimates.
The Maras Salt Mines, or Salineras de Maras, are a stunning network of more than 3,000 salt ponds on the mountainside of the Sacred Valley. These pools have been used since pre-Inca times and are still harvested today using traditional methods, creating a dazzling white landscape that contrasts beautifully with the Andean mountains.
