From here, our 2-hour journey begins, aiming for Soraypampa as our initial destination.
Arriving at Soraypampa by 6:00 am, a concise yet filling breakfast awaits us. This meal primes us for the forthcoming escapade. Recharged by the breakfast, our trek towards Humantay Lake starts.
Located at a lofty height of 4,200 meters or 13,780 feet, the journey, spanning roughly 1.5 hours, challenges even the hardy. But persist, for by 9:00 am, the allure of Humantay Lake's gleaming turquoise essence is revealed, enhanced by the majestic backdrop of Humantay Mountain.
