Hotel Pickup & Departure from Cusco
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Travel by comfortable tourist vehicle through the breathtaking Andean landscapes on the way to Cusipata.
Breakfast in Cusipata
After approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes (70 km / 43.5 miles), arrive in the charming village of Cusipata (3,310 m). Enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast to energize you for the day's adventure.
Transfer to the Trailhead
Continue by tourist transport along a scenic mountain road to the starting point of the hike at 4,600 m. Your guide will provide a short briefing before the trek begins
Begin a moderate hike through spectacular Andean scenery surrounded by colorful valleys, snow capped peaks, and herds of llamas and alpacas. Along the way, there will be short stops for rest, hydration, and photos.
Explore Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
Reach the summit at 5,200 m and admire the incredible natural colors created by mineral deposits over millions of years. Enjoy free time to take photos, appreciate the panoramic views, and experience one of Peru's most iconic landscapes.
Descend along the same trail, enjoying the peaceful mountain scenery before arriving back at the trailhead.
